The Air Force Public Affairs Association, a non-profit organization of past and present U.S. Air Force Public Affairs, Band, Broadcasting and Visual Information/Combat Camera professionals, facilitates building rewarding relationships among current and former Air Force public affairs professionals, advances Air Force Public Affairs excellence, professional growth and success, and fosters and celebrates enduring camaraderie.

We do this by:

• Providing a venue for sharing experiences, expertise, accumulated knowledge and professional wisdom.
• Serving as a focal point for exchanging and preserving public affairs best practices and providing benchmarking opportunities.Facilitating mentorship.
• Fostering professional growth through scholarships and accreditation programs, and other opportunities (e.g. speakers, presentations, webinars, etc.)
• Highlighting public affairs excellence and success through awards and recognition programs.
• Preserving public affairs heritage through the Public Affairs Hall of Fame and Oral History programs.
• Serving as a communications hub for the current and former public affairs community through our website, Facebook and LinkedIn pages, newsletter, printed and online directory, and meetings.
• Facilitating successful transition from active public affairs service through networking, mentorship and building the relationships that foster future opportunities.
• Keeping former Air Force public affairs professionals informed and integrated in the current Air Force and Air Force Public Affairs communities.
• Providing a venue for maintaining relationships and friendships built during active public affairs service.

A tax-exempt veterans organization under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code, AFPAA was first incorporated in Virginia in late 1993.
